Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include;
Month-End and Year-End Closing: Lead and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Full Cycle Accounting: Oversee full cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation for our manufacturing processes.
Accounting for Canadian Subsidiary in the USA: Handle the accounting and financial reporting requirements for our Canadian subsidiary operating in the USA, ensuring compliance with both Canadian and US regulations.
ERP Systems: Utilize ERP systems to streamline accounting processes, improve data accuracy, and support overall financial management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort in walking the plant floor and partnering with leaders
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- At least 5 years of full cycle accounting experience within a production environment (manufacturing, construction, pharma, food, etc.).
- Proven experience in accounting for a Canadian subsidiary in the USA, with a strong understanding of cross-border financial regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient financial operations.
