Located in Old Montreal, within the renowned Hôtel Nelligan, the restaurant will open its doors in the summer of 2024. At Mama C, our contemporary Greek cuisine combines tradition and innovation, offering an exceptional gastronomic experience with sunny flavors and an exclusive selection of Greek wines.

We are looking for a Production Cook. You will be responsible for the preliminary preparation of ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your role will also include supporting the line cooks by facilitating their work and optimizing mise en place to improve line service.

YOUR ROLE IS CRUCIAL

  • Responsible for preliminary kitchen preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, preparing meats and fish, and mise en place of sauces and condiments.
  • Ensure that all necessary ingredients are available and ready for cooking, maximizing efficiency during service.
  • Execute specific recipes while maintaining quality standards and culinary techniques unique to our establishment.
  • Ensure perfect cooking and seasoning of dishes according to instructions, guaranteeing an exceptional taste experience for our guests.
  • Actively participate in kitchen service, coordinating actions with the team to ensure smooth and rapid dish delivery.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of workspaces, including preparation and food storage areas, strictly adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Take pride and responsibility in each dish prepared, significantly contributing to the overall quality of dishes served.

WE NEED YOU IF

  • You have a Professional Cooking Diploma (DEP) or 2 to 3 years of experience in cooking, mainly in hotel establishments.
  • You have a strong ability to work in a team and ensure smooth communication, with the capability to communicate in both French and English with our international suppliers.
  • You excel in stress management, can work calmly and composedly, and maintain a high level of execution during busy periods.
  • You have a well-developed sense of organization for efficient work and meeting deadlines.
  • You have the energy, endurance, and availability for a demanding role with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You maintain exemplary service standards at all times.
