JOB DESCRIPTION

Our League Associates are an essential ingredient to the success of our leagues. They go above and beyond each and every day to ensure 100% of the games are played each and every night


You will be helping our People & Culture team, with a heavy emphasis on the day-to-day management of our part-time team.

  • Acting as a JAM ambassador and making sure players have the best experience possible.
  • Assisting the People & Culture department with staffing duties (scheduling, shift proofing and cancellations).
  • Assisting with recruitment for any part-time or full-time roles.
  • Assisting with part-time performance management.
  • Leading the charge on some projects - updating/revamping content on Training platforms, creating videos etc.
  • Helping with daily engagements with part-time teammates.
  • Helping execute some cultural initiatives focused on our part-time teammates.
  • Assisting with other People & Culture tasks as needed.

  • Willingness to approach and chat with our part-time team.

  • Be confident and motivated to call on and/or meet/work/deal with players, head office staff, part-time staff and facility staff.

Think Outside the Box Mentality

  • We're not looking for mediocre and old-school here. We want someone who has fresh ideas, can work on their own without being micromanaged, and is good at developing and maintaining relationships with our venue partners

Perfectly Seasoned

  • We are looking for someone who has past experience working in sports

Well Spoken & Written

  • You will need to be able to clearly articulate and communicate with the team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of sports rules and formats is an asset

Quick On Your Feet

  • Confidence in your ability to take control of a situation with a flair for being resourceful.
  • Strengths in planning, decision making, and creative problem solving.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid G Driver's license is mandatory.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary college/university program requiring a placement to be completed to graduate.
  • Having access to your own personal vehicle is an asset.

UNIQUE WORKING HOURS

  • You will be mostly working 9:00am- 5:00pm.
  • Some days you may be shifted in the afternoon to late evening to assist in league operations in the evening. Hours range from 1:00 - 9:00pm or 2:00 - 10:00pm
  • You may be asked to work the odd Sunday or Saturday

COMPENSATION

  • Unpaid Internship in line with current school program.
  • Complimentary league play.
  • Access to a company vehicle for work related tasks.
