Relevant de la direction générale de la Commission scolaire francophone du Yukon (CSFY), l'analyste des communications bilingue est responsable des communications et des relations communautaires. Cette personne est chargée de mettre au point et de fournir toute une gamme d'outils et de services de communication, en français et en anglais.

Qualifications essentielles

  • Diplôme d'études postsecondaires en communications, relations publiques, marketing ou journalisme

  • Expérience dans la prestation de services de communications, idéalement acquise au sein d'une administration publique
  • Expérience relative aux marches à suivre en matière de respect de la vie privée et de confidentialité, idéalement acquise au sein d'une administration publique
  • Expérience dans la relecture de textes rédigés en français
  • Expérience relative aux relations avec les médias, acquise au sein d'une administration publique
  • Expérience dans la planification, la mise en place, la coordination ou la réalisation de projets complexes et de campagnes de publicité
  • Expérience dans la mise à jour de sites web et de gestion de médias sociaux.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Yukon Francophone School Board, the Bilingual Communication Analyst is responsible for communications and public relations. This person will develop and provide a range of communication functions and strategic analysis for the board in French and English.

Essential Qualifications:

Please submit your resume in English clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism;
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken French and very good knowledge of written and spoken English;
  • Experience delivering a full range of communication services; preferably within a government setting;
  • Experience with the processes of privacy and confidentiality management, preferably within a government setting;
  • Experience in proofreading documents in French;
  • Experience responding to media requests in a government setting;
  • Experience planning, leading, coordinating and/or facilitating complex projects and promotional campaigns;
  • Experience managing websites and social media accounts.

Candidates who have education, training, and or/experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

Candidates should have and may be assessed on:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships within the department of Education and Government of Yukon, and with media and external stakeholders, professional rapport, tact and diplomacy are requirements when working with diverse client groups and sensitive issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to demonstrate initiative, yet also contribute to an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual support
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and meet critical and irregular deadlines, managing a heavy workload
  • Ability to respond to at times rapidly changing needs, displaying flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information and data
