This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.
Our team
The Communications and Issues Management branch works closely with colleagues across the department to ensure that all Yukoners are informed about public health issues and the available programs and services. The team works on a variety of high priority projects such as the Putting People First report, the establishment of a health authority, the substance use health emergency, and the Health Human Resources strategy. We operate very collaboratively as a team and support each other to ensure the success of our projects and the department. While our work environment is often fast-based, a healthy work-life balance is encouraged including flexible work options.

As a Communications Analyst with Health and Social Services you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of all Yukoners. You will work closely with passionate and dedicated colleagues who are all committed to the health and wellbeing of their community. You will have opportunities to develop your skills as a strategic and creative communications professional in areas such as media relations, crisis communications, public engagement, social marketing and digital communications.
