High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We're on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo's success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We're asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The role

Reporting to the Director of AML, the KYC Manager will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Specialists and leverage their industry knowledge to drive enhancements to the program's overall effectiveness. The KYC Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the KYC process, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks within the organization's operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the L1 team, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to identify, assess, and monitor customer risk profiles in line with Canadian regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • You'll ensure that KYC processes, policies, and procedures within the region are compliant with relevant Canadian laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • You stay up to date with regulatory changes and updates, and implement necessary adjustments to regional operations.
  • You lead, mentor, and manage the L1 team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment by providing guidance, support, and training to enhance the team's capabilities.

Who we are looking for:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
  • You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on KYC, AML, and compliance.
  • You have proven experience managing teams and overseeing operations within a Canadian organization.
  • You have a strong understanding of Canadian AML/KYC regulations and industry best practices - you know FINTRAC like the back of your hand.
  • You're an excellent communicator and leader with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • You have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes.
