We are currently hiring for a Admin/Shipping Coordinator to join our DC team at 2155 Drew Road, Mississauga. This position is on our 7:30 a.m. - 3:50 p.m. shift.

Description of Position:

 

The Distribution Coordinator is a highly versatile position within the McCormick High Performance System (MHPS) environment.  The Distribution Coordinator holds responsibilities within several areas of Distribution such as warehouse operations, shipping operations as well as Distribution Center metrics and reporting. This position pro-actively encourages continuous improvement and daily problem solving initiatives to increase effectiveness and efficiencies and reduce cost. 

 

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as an individual, as well as part of a team, with an emphasis on safety, quality and high performance while following the McCormick Shared Values. 

  • Support for the 3PL Warehousing including:
      1. Creating deliveries and goods issuing 3PL orders
      2. Communicating with 3PL Portals and contacts when required
      3. Verifying correct inventory is being picked and shipped from 3PL’s
      4. Communicating inventory discrepancies to the Cycle Counter
  • Provide daily coverage in the Billing office including:
      1. printing and organizing shipment paperwork
      2. coordinating/completing carrier/courier pickups
      3. filing shipping documentation
      4. updating SAP
      5. Booking inbound delivery appointments
  • Assist with the ordering/management of cafeteria supplies
  • Responsible for load building daily orders including:
      1. Building shipments within SAP
      2. printing and organizing Transfer Orders
      3. communicating with various departments
      4. other administrative tasks
  • Perform analysis on Warehouse/Distribution data and create related reports such as Warehouse Utilization, Distribution Labour Performance, etc.

 

Qualifications Required:

 

  • OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
  • Additional education such as Supply Chain or APICS courses considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience within Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse and Transportation operations.
  • High degree of knowledge and experience with SAP, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated analytical/critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to grow through continuous education and training
  • Ability to work overtime (pre or post shift, alternate shifts and weekends).
