Closing date of August 23, 2024.

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Planning Forester will work with a team of professionals responsible for all timber development activities. Our Planning Foresters enjoy a unique and balanced mix of field and office work, providing exposure to all aspects of our diversified and integrated business.

You'll Do:

  • Completing all necessary field work, including cut block and road layout
  • Harvesting and road plan design
  • Government and First Nations liaison
  • Contract administration and supervision
  • Incorporating wildlife and other environmental values into harvest area designs
  • Consulting stakeholders

You have:

  • Possesses a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Professional Forester Tech (RPFT) designation for Alberta (or be eligible and willing to earn this designation).
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Be highly motivated, with proven organizational skills.
  • Experience in harvest area design and layout

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
  • Annual bonus opportunity
