Are you a Law Clerk growing your career and looking to specialize in corporate matters? Our client, a growing law firm in Ottawa , is seeking a Corporate Law Clerk to join their team. You will need at least two years of law clerk experience. 2+ years of work experience, including internship or co-op placement, as a Law Clerk or Paralegal —experience in corporate law is an asset
~ Post-secondary degree as a Law Clerk
~ Experience with professional corporations and not-for-profit organizations would be a strong asset
~ MS Office, Document Management software and PC Law and/or Soluno (legal accounting software)
~ Prepare corporate docs: governance, incorporation, amendments, dissolution, tax reorgs, and share & asset purchases
Update & review corporate minute books
Manage ongoing corporate maintenance, searches, filings, and registrations
Determine processes compliance with laws, regs, and standards
Draft docs for corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, purchase agreements, etc.
Assist with general corporate tasks as needed
Process dockets, billing, and accounts receivable
