Mercedes-Benz Langley is currently looking to fill aposition of a Service Receptionist/Greeter.
The primaryfunction of the Service Receptionist is to administer to incoming walk intraffic & answering & properly directing inbound dealership callsthrough to the parts and service department.
- Greetcustomers upon their arrival at dealership.
- Answerall incoming calls promptly, and direct call to appropriateindividual.
- Handlegeneral inquiries from callers.
- Communicatewith all callers in a friendly, efficient and professional manner andattempt to minimize the amount of time they are placed on hold.
- Refermessages to correct party in a timely manner.
- Informtelephone company maintenance department of any switchboardmalfunctions.
- Collectpayment from customers and issue receipts for goods and services.
- Prepareinvoices and record amounts received.
- Provide cashrefunds or issue credit memoranda to customers for returned goods, asauthorized by manager.
- Record/balancetotals shown on cash register tapes or computer records; ensure invoiceamounts and payment methods correspond; verify cash on hand tofloat.
- Handlecustomer complaints with integrity and confidence and, if necessary,direct customers to Service Advisor or other appropriateindividuals.
- Operatecredit card machines; verify balances at end of day and advise managerimmediately of any cash shortages.
- Follow closeout procedures and final balancing at end of shift
- Ensure workarea is neat and clean and exhibit an informed, professional approach withall customers.
- Performclerical duties such as arranging for couriers and proofreading, andassist other administrative departments as necessary.
- Attend alldepartment meetings.
- Follow allcompany and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures.
- Perform anyother duties as required.
