Our client, a supplier for the construction industry, with their main office located in the St-Laurent Blvd area, as well as a new location in Montreal, is currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate would eventually grow into a Human Resources Manager / HR Business Partner within 1 to 2 years.

Must be fluently bilingual (English and French) written and oral
Human Resources Diploma or Degree
Previous experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfortable working in an industrial / blue collar environment
Using an external translation service to translate job descriptions as well as create new, and update existing, company policies and procedures in both official languages
Assisting with employee recruitment campaigns (labour and construction related trades) – posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews, conducting reference checks, creating offers of employment, etc.
Coordinating health and safety training for new and existing employees (WHMIS, Worker Health & Safety Awareness, Forklift, Working at Heights, First Aid / CPR, etc.)
Conducting employee performance reviews for a number of departments (approximately 45 employees)
Employee relations – inquiries, complaints, disputes, disciplinary action, performance reviews
Other miscellaneous office duties such as filing, scanning, employee record keeping, etc.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 4:30pm – Start and end time can be flexible
