Position: Business Head / Senior Trader - Edible Beans, Procurement, Agricultural Commodities, Physical, Mexico, North America, United States, Location; Canada:Overview: Our Client is expanding their commodity portfolio to include edible beans and are seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and experienced Business Head / Senior Trader. This role will oversee all aspects of their edible beans business, driving the success of the venture. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, passionate about learning, and eager to engage with new cultures, with a strong desire to build a business from the ground up.Key Responsibilities:Market Expansion: Aggressively target U.S. markets to generate new business, expand customer networks, and nurture existing client relationships.Trade Execution: Operate within defined risk limits to sell and execute trades, focusing on the U.S. and other target destinations.Customer Verification: Perform KYC procedures to verify customers, assessing their risk and financial profiles.Relationship Management: Act as a positive company ambassador by developing and maintaining strong relationships with producers and customers.Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and make informed decisions to drive business success.Risk Management: Utilize strong risk management knowledge to proactively manage for optimal outcomes.Market Awareness: Stay updated on edible bean trends and market conditions to maintain competitiveness.Contract Administration: Administer, promote, and adhere to purchase, sale, and production contracts, ensuring compliance with all related policies and processes.Logistics Coordination: Manage contracts from shipment to payment, ensuring adherence to contract terms in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams.Client Relations: Promote positive relations with key customers and brokers at all levels, ensuring client retention.Safety Compliance: Adhere to the Company's Occupational Health and Safety Policy.Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Degree in Agribusiness, Economics, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of agricultural commodity trading experience, with a focus on U.S. markets.Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain logistics and the agricultural business landscape.Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability with strong team management and interpersonal skills.Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities.Entrepreneurial Track Record: Proven experience in building a business in an entrepreneurial environment.Strategic Partnering: Experience working closely with an executive leadership team to develop and implement creative business strategies.Trade Knowledge: Deep understanding of trade terms and associated risks.Profile: You are a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
