Senior Financial Analyst Job Description

At Trader Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in assisting with the preparation of financial plans and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Collaborate with the finance team to prepare annual financial budgets and monthly re-forecast. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and risks.
  2. Financial Analysis and Business Partnering: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Service leaders to drive value-add for the Trader businesses. Build financial models to help management predict outcomes for business decisions.
  3. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Review financial performances and prepare weekly and monthly reports. Summarize complex financial data into presentable format to enable management teams to make informed decisions.
  4. Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights for key strategic initiatives and work directly with the executive and senior leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Accounting designation or near completion (CPA)
  • Post-secondary education; university degree or college diploma in accounting
  • Ability to manage large sets of data and work with data management systems
