If you're passionate about youth education and making a positive impact, we want to hear from youAs part of our Indigenous Communities team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the coordination and delivery of JA’s programs. In a dynamic team setting, this role supports the coordination of volunteer, educator, and alumni engagement, along with managing teacher-led and self-directed programs, data administration, customer inquiries, reporting, and more.We acknowledge that our work spans many territories and that our head office resides on the traditional and ancestral unceded shared territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations peoples.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Program Director, Indigenous Communities, the primary responsibilities include to:Coordinate the delivery of teacher-led and self-directed programs.Support coordination of volunteer-led programs.Respond to customer inquiries.Support the collection and recording of data related to contacts, accounts, program engagements, volunteer assignments, and other related records.Build reports and gather data.Participate in meetings.Other duties as required.QualificationsWe're seeking an ideal candidate with developing organizational and project management skills, proficient customer service abilities, and technical competence. Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM system is considered an advantageThe Program Coordinator should be an independent self-starter who thrives on managing data, coordinating multiple projects, and interacting with diverse internal and external interest-holders. Moreover, understanding Indigenous perspectives, culture, and teachings is paramount. The candidate should possess effective communication skills to engage authentically with Indigenous communities.Other qualifications of the ideal candidate include:1-3 years of experience, or equivalent, working within the education system or a comparable organizational setting.College or university education in business, communications, commerce or a related field.Demonstrated administrative proficiency encompassing organizational, writing, and presentation skills.A developing level of digital literacy and ability to use digital resources to enhance productivity and achieve business objectives including a strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce, or similar CRM.Demonstrated and developing experience in digital marketing, including proficiency using a variety of digital marketing tools and experience in email marketing campaigns.Developing capabilities in analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving.Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with diverse people across an organization.Self-directed and results-oriented, including experience in tracking progress against goals.Service minded attitude with an interest and willingness to collaborate with and help others.Benefits of working with JABCEnjoy a flexible and remote-first work schedule.Access extended benefits and RRSP contributions after a defined period of service.Begin with three weeks of vacation time.Thrive in a positive work environment with supportive colleagues.CompensationThis is a full-time position, requiring 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
