As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, your role revolvesaround ensuring the seamless processing of invoices from vendors, guaranteeingtimely and accurate payments, and maintaining meticulous records of allaccounts payable transactions. You'll communicate effectively with vendors toaddress any invoice-related queries or discrepancies and conduct thoroughreconciliations between accounts payable transactions and internal records.Adhering to company policies, you'll oversee approval processes before processingpayments and verify expense allocations to appropriate general ledger accounts.Additionally, you'll manage accounts payable aging to ensure prompt paymentsand maintain precise historical records within vendor files. This positionreports to the Controller.
The position will work in Timmins, however, there may bethe need for intermittent meetings in Toronto.

Job Duties
- Invoice Processing: Efficiently handle the processing ofinvoices from vendors.
- Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payments tovendors.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all accountspayable transactions.
- Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors regardinginvoices, payments, and discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions withvendor statements and internal records.
- Approval Management: Ensure appropriate approval prior toprocessing, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Expense Allocation Verification: Verify appropriate expenseallocation to general ledger accounts, class, and site.
- Aging Management: Manage accounts payable aging to ensuretimely payments and maintain vendor files with accurate historical records
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable orAccounting function.
- Experience on projects utilizing work breakdown structureor job costing.
- A Diploma or Degree is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- General understanding of computerized accounting systems.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Quick-books andExcel.
- Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tightdeadlines.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow through and complete overlappingprojects.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizingskills, as well as ability to work independently.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolutionskills.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies andprocedures.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at alllevels of the organization.
