Opportunity

We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways/freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports. Role: Environmental Coordinator

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Coordinator will participate in the success of the project’s Environmental Management System on a day-to-day basis. Working closely with the Environmental Manager and the Environmental Specialist, they will take on a key role in the Pre-Construction, Procurement, and Delivery of a new heavy rail GO Station, as well as constructing multiple rail bridges, pedestrian tunnels, and other station building requirements. The Environmental Coordinator will also play a significant role in the continuous improvement of the EMS, managing and leading Environmental Inspections, Audits, and addressing Non-Conformance as required.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the Environmental Management System is adhered to across the project in accordance with contractual requirements and Graham’s internal policy.
  2. Participate in monitoring environmental aspects, including wildlife, discharge water quantity and quality, waste management, erosion and sediment control, and more.
  3. Manage environmental issues during pre-construction, procurement, and delivery phases, including reporting and obtaining necessary permits.
  4. Perform field inspections, surveys, and walk-downs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards.
  5. Monitor and inspect construction activities for environmental compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications include a Degree or Diploma in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field. Certifications such as P.Eng, CET, and ISO are assets. Experience in Environmental Monitoring within construction or consulting fields is required. Knowledge of environmental inspections and best practices is essential.
