Led by a team of mining executives with operational and development experience and proven success in creating value, Allied Gold aspires to become a mid-tier next generation gold producer in Africa and ultimately a leading senior global gold producer.The Director, Cybersecurity will be responsible for all aspects of cybersecurity. This includes IT networks, Industrial networks, all endpoints and nodes, IoT enabled objects, and the protection of digital data assets.The successful candidate will work with other members of the IT organization on different initiatives.Job ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the strategy and roadmap for cybersecurity across the company.Collaborate with business partners on education and protection.Manage and work closely with strategic partners as it relates to cybersecurity.Oversee the implementation of cyber related projects.Evaluate, assess, and test, threats, risks, and capabilities, including developing play books for sites, offices and functions.Implement, execute, and manage all cybersecurity related protocols and processes.Job RequirementsThis position requires a minimum of a university degree in Information Technology.This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a cybersecurity leadership role, working with next generation firewalls, end point security products, IDS/IPS solutions, cloud and mobile security architecture and solutions.Professional training or certifications in cybersecurity fields. Demonstrated track record of strategic planning and execution as it relates to cybersecurity.Demonstrated understanding of industrial networks security.Technical understanding and application of data protection and encryption solutions.Strong collaboration and facilitation capabilities.Strategic planner and executor with experience in managing budgets.Excellent communicator both written and verbal to different levels.Bilingual in English and French is an asset.Ability to travel to Allied Gold’s offices and operations.
