Within a team environment, this position will perform the following responsibilities:

Job Specifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, communications or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience : A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in project management.
  • Professional/Technical Certifications : n/a 
  • Technical Requirements :
    • Competency in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, One Drive, etc.),
    • Within six months, acquire knowledge and understanding of CCRC program and funder requirements, including adherence to Community Care Licensing, HIPAA/MediCal, Office of Head Start, DPSS, CDSS, and CDE program requirements and standards. Understanding of the business and operations involved in child care center facilities.
  • Travel : Some travel/business related driving required; Staff members driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver’s License and DMV clearance required.
  • Work Schedule : Full time, typically M-F regular business hours
  • Work environment: Office work environment; ambient temperature, moderate noise level, indoors
  • Background & Health Clearance Requirements: Background requirements determined according to the requirements of the program(s) which the Project Administrator will be supporting.
    • If supporting Head Start programs, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
      • Criminal Records (e.g. Livescan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health, Tuberculosis (TB) and Immunization clearances required
    • Other clearance may be required based upon the contract obligations of the program.

Preferred

All minimum requirements above met, plus:

  • Experience: Early education or other social service, non-profit settings and related policies and procedures .
  • Professional/Technical Certifications :
    • Project Management certification preferred.

We have doubled in size over the past 10 years. We provide child development and early education, workforce development opportunities, child care financial assistance, Head Start preschool and Early Head Start services and more for close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County, including Antelope Valley, and the entirety of San Bernardino County, including an office in Victorville, serving a total geographic area of 22,500 square miles.

About Us

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) assists close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and the entirety of San Bernardino County serving a total area of 22,500 square miles. Since 1976, CCRC has been managing programs to assist with issues such as finding and selecting child care, child care financial assistance, school readiness, home visiting, and research and program evaluation. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community. CCRC's early care & education specialists offer parents and child care professionals assistance ranging from finding child care and child development ages & stages to marketing child care businesses and CPR training and certification.

CCRC operates and oversees Head Start Birth-5 programs for a total of 3,312 children. These programs promote school readiness and family engagement to ensure a healthy development of children and their families. Children benefit from a high quality preschool education as well as medical and dental exams. Through CCRC’s literacy campaign “What a Difference a Book Makes,” we have collected 800,000 age-appropriate books. It is the agency’s belief that the cognitive benefits of literacy are immeasurable and have a large impact on the ability of an economy to generate and sustain wealth.
