Current Rate of Pay : Min $28.71 - Max $35.89

Position Overview

This position reports to the Guelph Wellington OHT Director of Transformation. The ‘Administrative and Communications Coordinator’ provides administrative and communications support to OHT staff and activities. The Administrative and Communications Coordinator will interact with and support and coordinate the day-to-day work of OHT partners and working groups. In this fast paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment, this role requires managing multiple priorities while providing organized, timely and accurate administrative support and communication. Advanced computer skills and knowledge, including how to prepare and utilize Excel spreadsheets, create and edit Word documents, navigate a database system and manage an Outlook calendar are essential to the position.

Specific tasks include:

  • OHT Meeting Preparation
  • Calendar management
  • Scheduling
  • Minute taking
  • Coordination of OHT materials and activities
  • Development of newsletters and other communications
  • Management of social media
  • Other activities to support OHT activates as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a professional administrative role, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Office Administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant administration experience.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive issues in a professional manner
  • High level of initiative and self-direction
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with staff, volunteers, students patients, families, colleagues and physicians
