Our National Office in Toronto has a one-year contract opening for a Sr Manager, Quality Monitoring on its National Risk Management team. This is an internal risk management position. The individual will have the following responsibilities and will report to the Partner, Head of Quality Monitoring, National Risk Management.
Plan, direct and execute our firm-wide internal engagement inspection programs for various service lines using a risk-based approach;
Communicate results of the internal monitoring programs, firm violations, and recommendations for quality and efficiency improvements to senior leadership;
Design and conduct CSQM monitoring activities to support the annual assessment of BDO Canada’s System of Quality Management;
Assess CSQM findings and deficiencies and liaise with stakeholders from other National departments in conducting root cause analyses as a result of monitoring activities;
Develop course content for risk management training programs as a result of monitoring including annual risk management quality updates and web based training programs on other specific risk management topics;
Have an understanding of key risk management processes including Client Acceptance, Conflicts of Interest checks, and Independence procedures;
Have an understanding of the CPA Code of Professional Conduct / IESBA International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants;
Assist with researching and writing effective risk management guidance materials for Partners and staff.
