The Town of Osoyoos, located in the beautiful south Okanagan Valley, is accepting applications for the position for a Permanent Part-Time Fire Department Administrative Support.

Position Information

The Town of Osoyoos Protective Services (Fire) Department is inviting applications for a permanent part-time Fire Department Administrative Support. The Fire Department Administrative Supports assists the department in administrative functions such as booking and arranging fire inspections, responding to inquiries from the public and staff, typing a variety of routine and confidential letters and assisting in the records management for the department.

The preferred applicant will have completed Grade 12 supplemented with two years of office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The preferred applicant will have the ability to work independently or as part of a team, strong typing skills, strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and an understanding of emergency services. This position is a permanent part-time unionized position that is approximately 3 days a week. The hourly rate is $28.09 - $31.2 per hour (2023 wage rate) plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
