As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at More Than Just Words, you will be essential in supporting the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to help clients reach their communication goals. Your main focus will be on working with preschool and school-aged children, conducting in-person home visits for client interactions. You will carry out the programs developed by the SLP and will receive regular guidance and supervision from them.Salary: Starting at $45 per sessionSetting: Home Visits in Surrey BCHere’s a snapshot of your responsibilities:• Assist in implementing the SLP's treatment plan and lead therapy sessions that align with the specific objectives established by the supervising SLP.• Understand the treatment goals and follow them diligently until any modifications are made by the supervising SLP.• Evaluate the need for and/or develop intervention materials to support the supervising SLP's efforts.• Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions by documenting progress notes that reflect client performance, behaviours, and other relevant details.• Improve the experience for clients and stakeholders through teamwork and by building professional relationships, while maintaining the integrity of your role.• Collect, document, and safeguard patient response data, ensuring the confidentiality of all personal health information shared during sessions.To excel in this position, you will need:• A secondary education in linguistics or language development.• A Post Graduate Certificate in Communicative Disorders is a plus.• Experience working with preschool and school-aged children
