Reporting to the Business Development Sales Manager, the Industrial Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving assigned sales goals by identifying new leads, prospecting new accounts, upselling and cross-selling DIGI Canada’s newly offered line of industrial weigh, price, labeling, and packaging equipment across the province of Ontario for existing and new customers. Identify and attract new customers and collaborate with DIGI Canada sales managers to maintain relationships with existing accounts to achieve set sales goals under the direction of the Business Development Sales Manager.
Implement sales plans and growth strategies to promote and establish the assigned product line to gain a strong foothold in the industry in collaboration with the Business Development Sales Manager
Willingness to be 70% on the road visiting potential customers, 20 % travel, and 10% from home or DIGI office
Prepare sales proposals and value propositions based on customer needs and expectations
Prepare sales presentations in collaboration with the DIGI Canada marketing team to create product, service, and solution understanding and awareness along with return-on-investment calculations
Deliver technical presentations to customers
Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities; Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by in-person visits, phone, and or email
Participate in sales campaigns, sales events such as trade shows in all formats, conferences to promote the company’s products, including on evenings or weekends
Attend office location for product demos for customers
Maintain sales activity records and reports and provide feedback from the customers to appropriate department managers
Update CRM as required per the set standard process
2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably selling and or distributing products to the food industry
~ Successful completion of high school diploma required, other certifications are an asset
~ Valid driver’s license and passport.
~ Must have home office space with no distractions
~ Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. French will be an asset.
~ Good analytical, planning / organizational skills and ability to transpose strategy into action
~ Proficiency in using computer applications, including CRM, Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
