Reporting to the Senior Director - Loyalty Program Management, the Director will lead the team responsible for Loyalty Fraud detection, as well as support to Asset Protection Analytics and our store Loss Prevention. This role will manage Loyalty fraud prevention response procedures, and ensure effective analytical identification of fraud opportunities, as well as maintain and enhance fraud prevention program and automate response process using a variety of tools and technologies to rapidly identify fraud and respond to threats across the Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL).


Your deep knowledge of security tools, technologies, and analytics, in cyber fraud, fraud prevention, security threats, tactics, techniques and procedures used by threat actors and fraudsters, security and enterprise IT operations, processes, incident management and data analytics, will help you to conduct a fraud incident response process, design and conduct fraud risk assessments to support this mandate.


Overall ownership and leadership of the PC Optimum Fraud Management Program, and Enterprise Store Asset Protection Analytics Investigations.


Define fraud analytic requirements for PCO product, and Store Asset protection service and technology needs (incl. technical fraud mitigation), and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver


Define fraud accountability and loss attribution, between internal stakeholders


Coordinate across business and enabling stakeholders on fraud issues



Understanding of Fraud, Cyber fraud eCommerce and loyalty programs.


Experience deploying and maintaining cyber fraud detection and prevention mechanisms, experience with data analysis, fraud analysis tools, big data tools. Ability to determine defensive tactics, tune fraud detection controls, build fraud detection use cases and provide further recommendations based on investigation results to prevent fraud.


Ability to review loyalty business processes, security design, new application features, procedures and provide best practices and recommendations based on findings to prevent and reduce fraud.


Ability to use Data Analytics to collect evidence, communicate, and package fraud cases for consumption by other fraud prevention program stakeholders including Asset Protection and law enforcement agencies.
