As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within our organization. Perform regular cycle counts of inventory items according to the established schedule. Utilize inventory management software or manual counting methods to accurately record inventory levels.Investigate and resolve discrepancies between actual inventory counts and recorded inventory levels. Identify the root causes of discrepancies, such as data entry errors, shrinkage, or process inefficiencies. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of inventory discrepancies.
Ensure that inventory records in the system are up-to-date and reflect the actual physical inventory. Monitor inventory movement and transactions, including receipts, transfers, and withdrawals. Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, customer service and sales, to maintain accurate inventory data.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, provide recommendations for optimizing inventory levels and minimizing carrying costs. Develop strategies for managing excess inventory or shortages.
Assist in the organization and optimization of warehouse space to maximize storage capacity. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency. Recommend enhancements to inventory management systems or procedures to enhance accuracy and productivity.
Post Secondary education in related field or equivalent warehouse experience.
Two (2) years of experience in warehouse environment.
Microsoft office, WMS and SAP software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint) and SAP or other WMS systems.
