What will you do?

The Product Application Expert (PAE) for Motion and Machine Controllers will act as the local product expert and point of contact for technical queries related to the product. The PAE will work closely the sales organization and other internal sales groups, to best serve our Customers, our Distributors and our System Integrators.

  • Provide technical pre-sale and application support for the Sales force, distributors, partners, and customers, mainly on the Lexium Motion Control and Robotics products and Modicon M2xx/PacDrive PLC products.
  • Develop relationships with the customers and partners, help to address customer requests and offer the solution.
  • Provide hand-on technical trainings, presentations, demos demonstration, participate on the tradeshows and other company events.
  • Working together with the sales team and other technical teams in Schneider to meet the annual sales targets.
  • Ensure that Sales and Channel are provided with sufficient support, training, and sales collateral to effectively promote those products.
  • Be involved in the discussions around product road maps and what is needed to represent the Canadian market.

Location and Travel

  • Based in Montreal, the role is national, but will mainly support all Eastern Canada and the Maritimes.
  • Hybrid position

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma related to electrical engineering or industrial automation.
  • Minimum of 5 years in integration or sales of products similar to the range offered by Schneider Electric.
  • Good technical and commercial knowledge of Automation, Motion Control products and industrial applications is essential.
  • Good understanding of mechanical components of a system and ability to properly select the proper product to meet the application requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and customer facing skills
  • Functional knowledge of English and French is required to carry out their scope of work, including working with stakeholders located in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally
