The Opportunity: Sales Manager - Venues

We’re on the lookout for an Sales Manager – Venues to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be a customer focused individual who demonstrates a high level of understanding the clients needs and being able to recommend solutions. The Sales Manager is responsible in conjunction with the Venue Services Manager (VSM) for managing the sales efforts of the office.

This includes: meeting with clients, producers, meeting planners and understanding the purpose of their event; designing the technology elements of the event and negotiating the proposal with client. This position is responsible for assisting the VSM with managing the venue relationship and providing the utmost in guest service and client satisfaction. In addition this position will seek out new revenue channels and contribute to new product offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders to ensure successful client and venue relations are maintained to support the smooth running of all events
  • Ensure collection of “event orders” and generate “estimates” where audiovisual services are required
  • Attend all venue meetings that are relevant to Encore Event Technologies or deemed necessary by the venue or VSM e.g. sales pace meetings
  • Establish and maintain a coordinated sales effort with Encore’s venue client
  • Attend site inspections with venue staff and clients to arrange and plan upcoming functions to their specifications and to establish, confirm or revise their requirements
  • Establish and maintain a high level of event production solutions
  • Manage the allocation of client event proposals
  • Provide high quality event proposals in line with Encore standards
  • Manage overall client satisfaction
  • Manage workflow of event sales process from initial client contact, taking the brief, solution and follow up
  • Meet and exceed budgeted revenue and EBITA targets
  • Increase profitable revenue and Increase conversions
  • Proactively target repeat or new clients that are known to use other suppliers
  • Attend and actively contribute to weekly sales meetings with Venue Sales Executives and the Manager of Event Operations (MEP)
  • Handle all complaints effectively to both recover the business and to strengthen the ongoing client relationship
  • Attend and present at Venue partners/Base promotional events
  • Attend and maximise sales leads at all industry and networking events
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed client relationships through the use of the CRM system
