Autoplanet Durham, is looking for a  General Sales Manager to join their dynamic team
They will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring the sales manager(s) to ensure an efficient and profitable sales department. The General Sales Manager will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, maintaining service records, and setting and obtaining sales, financial, and safety objectives.

Plan and coordinate sales marketing initiatives and events.
Analyze sales and ground-stock trends in order to maintain an efficient product inventory flow.
Assign and control the demonstrator fleet.
Reach sales goals on strict timeline requirements.
Coaches sales team to provide excellent customer service.
Report performance goals and achievements on a regular basis.
Represent The Employer in a favorable light to all accounts, press and industry representatives at all times.
Monitor sales trends, such as number of customers visiting the company, number of quotes prepared per Sales Consultant, units sold per Sales Consultant, dollar sales per Sales Consultant, etc.
Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all Sales Department staff.
Ensure that all sales staff hold a current and valid OMVIC registration with the dealership.
Assist in planning and implementation of training schedules and programs to ensure that all staff achieves a more than acceptable level of performance in all criteria.
Ensure that all sales personnel follow all The Employer policies and procedures.
Regularly evaluate employee performance and provide periodic feedback.
Experience in the retail sales management of motor vehicles is required.
A minimum of three years sales management experience.
Dealer CRM system experience required.
Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of Microsoft excel.
Comfort with computers and external communication.
Comfort with a highly variable, performance-oriented pay plan.
Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules.
