The Opportunity:

We are seeking a strategic Senior Account Manager to spearhead our efforts in forging critical connections between our capabilities and customers within key defence accounts as well as in customer funded research within the UK Public Sector. Our passion lies in research, the practical application of cybersecurity, and a strong social conscience that links our unique expertise with organisations poised to benefit from our knowledge.

In this pivotal role, we require an individual with a solid understanding of the cybersecurity landscape within the defence sector. Your responsibilities will extend to understanding the challenges our customers face and maintaining awareness of current threats. We acknowledge that this is a demanding undertaking, but what we offer is an untapped potential, access to some of the world's leading cybersecurity experts, and a corporate culture founded on teamwork and collaboration.

As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead the development and growth in key customer accounts by shaping compelling propositions, conducting comprehensive research, and providing invaluable insights into sector-specific challenges, nuances, and needs. This expertise will empower NCC Group to differentiate its services, delivering enhanced value to our clients.

In addition to this, you will support our sales and delivery organisations, fostering growth and nurturing enduring, strategic relationships with both existing and potential clients.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Revenue, Orders, and Pipeline Growth: Drive substantial growth in revenue, orders, and pipeline within key defence accounts and funded research, aligning with agreed objectives.

  • Improved Delivery Performance: Measure and enhance delivery performance through Cash and Customer Satisfaction metrics.

  • Proposition and Account Development: Lead the strategic development of propositions within key and emerging accounts within the sector.

  • Thought Leadership: Serve as an account expert and cultivate thought leadership within your sector to ensure client success.

  • Pipeline Visibility: Generate clear demand signals within your accounts to guide the delivery units and inform product and service line innovation.

  • Client Workshops and Immersion: Facilitate client workshops, encourage knowledge sharing, and foster sector immersion.

  • High-Value Client Relationships: Cultivate key high-value collaborative relationships with major customers and authorities within key defence and related accounts to drive sustainable growth.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Proven track record in business development and account management within the cybersecurity industry.

  • Strong understanding of Defence & Public sectors and cybersecurity challenges within these industries.

  • Demonstrated success in selling complex cybersecurity solutions to strategic clients.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in understanding and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
