Description


The incumbent in this role supports GS1 Canada initiatives with outbound/inbound account activity to subscribers and prospects and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of efficient and professional service is delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day technical implementation support for GS1 Canada initiatives (i.e. phone, email, face-to-face);
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with contacts within key organizations to ensure support efforts are effectively promoted and supported;
  • Assists in API implementation projects and provides on-going technical support to subscribers.
  • Develops subject matter expertise of primary GS1 Canada products and services;
  • Assists in developing a customer centric organization and providing customer value through effective and efficient support, management and tracking of subscriber activities;
  • Provides assistance and guidance for data analysis and reporting to support the implementation process;
  • Leads training sessions or presentations on GS1 Canada tools and services;
  • Participates in intra-departmental or cross-departmental special projects;
  • Creates and updates user documentation and standard operation procedural documents;
  • Provides technical/business support for retailer/vendor account management e.g. ad hoc analysis and reporting;
  • Assists in the user acceptance testing and deployment of GS1 Canada service enhancements or new implementations;
  • Supports and drives all data integrity initiatives through the certification and discrepancy processes;
  • Researches and recommends efficiencies and process modifications that will assist in providing customer value and improving departmental efficiencies;
  • Provides support through voice & email, and other support channels ultiple products and service solutions GS1 Canada Implementation services
  • Performs administrative support for team;
  • Liaises with other internal departments as required;
  • Performs various other duties, special projects as delegated or assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Post secondary education in a related subject (i.e. business at college or university level);
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of customer service and technical support (i.e. help desk) experience preferably within a technical support centre;
  • API knowledge required and to be able to read and interpret JSON files
  • 1 – 2 years experience in a merchandising management environment (i.e. UPC Coordinator, Catalogue Captain, Category Coordinator);
  • Advanced skills with Excel, Access and SAS is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) is required;
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and take responsibility for timely and accurate completion of tasks assigned;
  • Proven organizational and communication skills, possessing a high level of problem solving and analytical abilities;
  • Team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment;
  • Bilingual (French/English) language skills are an asset;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit suited for fast paced, results based environment and requiring flexibility to changing needs.
