As part of our team, you'll engage in collaborative and mentoring environments, fostering active and social opportunities for children. The ideal candidate will possess some volunteer or work experience in leading children, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for recreation games and activities. Strong listening skills are a must, along with the ability to take direction from senior staff and supervisors. Effective communication within teams is essential to ensure understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.

Some knowledge of the fundamentals of program leadership and instruction of recreation programs.
Some knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures and policies governing the work.
Ability to provide leadership and instruction for special events, programs, camps and other activities.
This is an Auxiliary position with no ongoing schedule of hours ( Hours of work are governed by Schedule B (C, J) of the Collective Agreement alongside the Letter of Understanding for Workers in Children's/Youth Services and Recreation Access).
