Stirling Chemicals is a manufacturer of a variety of surfactant chemistries and we are looking for an energetic, high achiever to join our team which is focused on modernizing the company and steering it into the years ahead. We are located in the south end of Brampton, less than a kilometer from the 407 and 2 kilometers from the 410. We are 30 minutes or less from most points west of Toronto proper.
The Core responsibilities of this role are:
- Overseeing/managing a team of plant workers in their daily work
- Managing the daily production schedule
- Coordinating plant work and issues with admin staff
- Assuring compliance with legal regulations
- Maintaining necessary administrative records
- Reviewing/approving production reports
- Analyzing and controlling costs
- Testing plant processes and ensuring efficiency and safety
- Providing first-hand knowledge of production procedures
- Ensuring appropriate staff training and accreditation is provided and maintained
- Optimizing the use of machinery and equipment
This job will involve a combination of managing of staff, individual administrative work and plant work.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes an extensive health and dental plan along with a generous vacation allowance.
The key requirements for this role are;
- Experience in a supervisory role in a chemical plant – plant manager experience is preferred.
- Post secondary education in chemistry or a minimum of 5 years experience in a chemical plant.
- Strong computer literacy – a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills
