Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Abide by the firm’s corporate policies and procedures.

  • Provides leadership and direction to the company’s IT Department. Responsible for the development and execution of IT strategies, managing capital expenditures and operating budgets, and partnering with company leadership in driving innovation in the workplace;

  • Architects, builds and manages various IT infrastructure facilities globally (North America, Philippines, India and other future sites);

  • Reviews and updates relevant policies and procedures related to Business Continuity Plan, Cyber Security, Systems access and other IT related matters;

  • Manages the following areas in IT department:
    - Operational and strategic planning (including business requirements),
    - Project planning, and
    - Organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

  • Reviews performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements;

  • Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and make recommendations for the improvement of IT Infrastructure and IT systems;

  • Authorizes and oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs. This includes coordinating with the IT managed service provider.

  • Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives;

  • Continuously evaluates hardware and software requirements in all office branches for future needs;

  • Develops, proposes/revises and implements all IT policies and procedures, including those for IT network & systems architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision;

  • Develops, maintains and implements the firm’s overall cyber security program and data privacy program in alignment with applicable regulations such as the General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR), Data Privacy Act (DPA);

  • Resolves cyber security issues and ensure security of data in the system and lead information security awareness programs;

  • Oversees negotiation and administration of IT related vendors, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements;

  • Supervises IT staff in troubleshooting local hardware and all IT related office activities;

  • Monitors and maintains control of email accounts data access of all employees including managing their rights. Set ups email address for new employees and group emails for new clients;

  • Champions business continuity and redundancy set-up. Continuously evaluates controls and security set-up; recommends investments and changes (security protocols, etc.);

  • Champions implementation and maintenance of collaboration tools such as unified communications and office productivity tools

  • Works with Client Servicing Group/Other Divisions and evaluates application solutions and its supporting network connectivity and redundancy set-up;

  • Liaises with HR and Finance in preparing IT hardware and software purchases for new additional FTE and prepares deployment plan based on timing given;

  • Manages the full inventory of IT hardware and software investments and its planned implementation;

  • Works with HR on employee movements (recruitment, transfers, resignations, etc) and its planned or assignment of computer equipment based on agreed timing;

  • Controls and manages IT services due for payment based on services rendered;

  • Prepares annual IT business plan; reviews actual spending vs. budgeted periodically.

Requirements

Job Specifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year Computer course.

  • Experience in managing multi-site network operations set-up in multinational companies.

  • Knowledge in implementing and managing rollout of cloud solutions.

  • Knowledge in preparing Capex and Operating budgets and conduct regular monitoring.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Able to meet deadlines and can adjust to changing priorities.

  • Flexibility to expand work hours as necessary and support business needs.

  • Occasional travel to HC Global sites as directed by the Managing Directors.
