Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth (ODLCY) is the accredited not-for-profit community-based child and youth mental health organization serving children, youth and families. The Director of Finance and Administration delivers critical leadership and oversight of financial operations within Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth. This position oversees the complete budget process ensuring compliance with financial and risk management policies and fostering optimal resource utilization. The Director contributes to the overall financial health of the organization through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and supervises one finance administrator. This role will collaborate with the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement long-term financial strategies in alignment with our organization’s goals. Using financial expertise and insights, you will support strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data and identifying opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and resource allocation.
The Director of Finance and Administration will:
Oversee the Finance department and all accounting functions.
Deliver monthly analysis of financial performance, monthly variance reports, financial projections, and reports to the Board of Directors and Executive Director.
Prepare and submit federal and provincial government remittances and reports as required.
Oversee the Payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management, ensuring timely collection and payment processes. Review all contracts for the agency, maintain contract files.
Maintain professional status with a designated accounting body.
Perform any other duties as required and assigned by the Executive Director.
Experience in budget management, financial planning, and a solid understanding of financial principles. Graduate from business administration or management, financial management, accounting or equivalent from a recognized college or university program.
Qualifications: CPA Designation considered a strong asset. Experience: Minimum 4 years accounting experience.
