Sr. Director of Americas Sales Engineers

Reporting to the VP of Sales, Americas, the Sr Director of Americas Sales Engineering provides overall direction and guidance to the Sales Engineering activities of the organization with the objective of maximizing profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management to company operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the executive team to help develop the overall strategic direction for the organization.

• Responsible for working with executives and reporting experts to develop relevant KPIs, reports, maintaining quote systems in conjunction with the Sales team.

• Interface with various other departments including Operations, Product Management, Project Management, and Logistics to ensure maximum efficiencies across the organization.

• Oversee and manage the Americas team of Sales Engineers.

• Ensure that Americas Sales Engineering procedures are streamlined and compliant with company procedures.

• Develop and upkeep quotation procedures.

• Review CRM Activity of Team.

• Review and assist SE with their designs.

• Ensure satisfaction of customers while achieving desired results for the organization.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a strong, performance driven culture in the organization.

• Oversee the development of subordinate management and staff.

• Works to understand and keep informed about technical features and functional attributes of solution offerings.

• Provides quotations for opportunities that have been qualified by the RSM. Provides technical guidance and training to Sales team.

• Assists RSM with pre-sales activities including preparing presentations in support of national account sales and large bids when needed.

• Deals with customers on-site/conference calls regarding technical and other account issues, as required.

• Conducts on-site surveys, as required.

• Provides information captured during pre-sales phase to Project Management when PO is received and PM is assigned.

• Works with PM to transfer the understanding of the specifics a deal to assist the PM in takeover of role of prime interface during the implementation phase.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree and fifteen plus years of general management experience and/or a combination of multi-functional experience in budgeting, planning, marketing, sales, technology and service delivery management in both stable and rapidly changing environments.

• Strong general management, leadership and team building skills along with a proven record of accomplishment in managing between and among corporate functions.

• Proven ability to improve operating performance.

• Regular travel, both domestic and international (when required).
