Position Title: Payroll Specialist Status: Full-Time Permanent
Reports To: Payroll & Benefits Manager
The Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) is currently looking to hire a Payroll Specialist. Reporting to the Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurate processing and recording of the bi-weekly payroll as well as regular maintenance of the payroll system. In addition, this role is responsible for accurate financial reporting and supporting the Human Resources and Finance teams for special projects and ad hoc reporting.
The Payroll Specialist must have the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. They must be a pro-active learner and interested in understanding the business and the link between operations and payroll. · Provide support and capacity to our Payroll & Benefits Manager
· Prepare and administer bi-weekly payroll
· Audit payroll processing reports for accuracy
· Prepare required reconciliations and forms (ROEs, tax forms)
· Assist with employee inquiries concerning payroll administration
· Assist with the processing of payroll changes (new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc.)
· Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes
· Provide training to new management with respect to ADP processes
 
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a payroll administrator role
· PLP designation with the National Payroll Institute would be considered an asset
· Experience with full cycle payroll processing, including reporting, and recruitment modules
· Multi-provincial payroll experience
· High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
