Consultant / Supply Chain Specialist

MGIS is currently seeking experienced Senior Procurement Consultants to join our team. We are specifically looking for individuals with in-depth experience working with the Canadian public sector, providing advisory services for multi-phase secure cloud-based IT-enabled initiatives. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in GC complex procurement processes, with expertise in agile procurement for cloud services.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Contribute to the business functional, operational, and organizational requirements for effective procurement.
Provide profiles and assessments of potential options for delivering cloud services, including reviews of other GC cloud solutions and commercial offerings.
Develop a preliminary high-level implementation approach to meet cloud requirements, serving as the basis for downstream procurement efforts.
Create an overall procurement roadmap outlining potential procurement options, based on an agile/multi-phase collaborative approach.
Implement the procurement approach, including preparing selection methodologies, evaluation plans, criteria, schedules, and related documents.
Collaborate in the development of contracting materials, such as terms and conditions, SLAs, MSAs, etc.
Support industry engagement through the development of material and participation in sessions.
Assist in the evaluation of proposals, proof of solution process, and associated reporting.
Support the contract finalization process and initial transition to the contracted solution.
Provide program management support, including reporting and presentations.
Assist in post-procurement implementation efforts.
Identify potential problems and propose solutions.
Conduct post-procurement reviews and contractor evaluations/lessons learned.
Lead or participate in negotiations and develop procurement and/or business process maps.
Provide objective and independent advice to project directors and senior management representatives.
Contribute to the improvement of procurement processes, information flows, and procedures.
Complete other specific tasks as identified in the task authorization.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Procurement, Business, IT, etc.).
Minimum of [X] years of experience as a procurement consultant, preferably within the Canadian public sector.
Strong understanding of GC complex procurement processes and agile procurement for cloud services.
Experience working on multi-phase secure cloud-based IT-enabled initiatives.
Knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Specific deliverables and their respective delivery schedules will be identified in individual Task Authorizations. Examples of deliverables may include procurement material/artifacts, strategies, statuses/reports, analysis, briefing documents, presentations, diagrams, spreadsheets, plans, and other required items. Deliverables may be in soft copy, utilizing MS Office suite of products and departmental templates.
