Shift: Monday to Friday from 6:30AM to 2:30PM

Responsible for preparing and organizing inbound and outbound bills to ensure trucks are received and shipped according to schedule and proper standards. The position gathers, coordinates, and tracks receipt of freight information necessary for the receiving and delivery of all shipments while auditing for accuracy.

  • Greets and directs transport drivers and directs them to the proper dock door according to their scheduled appointment time
  • Maintains monthly inbound and outbound summary reports listing details of all shipments handled by each carrier
  • Prepares BOL for outbound shipments scheduled for pickup.
  • Completes vendor load sheets and have number assigned. Input into carrier note file.
  • Reviews and records carrier freight, bill number and date of receipt on tracing sheet.
  • Provides back up support in the department as needed.
  • Promotes a clean, safe and positive work environment

EDUCATION:

  • High school education or equivalent. Post Secondary education preferred.
  • Working towards a logistics management certificate program preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse/transportation environment
  • 1-2 year of experience in a warehouse/office environment

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Proven bilingual communication skills both verbal and written (French and English). Communication required with out of province driver's
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Service oriented with effective customer interaction skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems including WMS, Microsoft Office products
