Position: Infant Development Supervisor (requires H.Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We are looking for an Infant Development Supervisor to join our Sources Infant Development team SOURCES is a community-based non-profit organization providing support and hope to communities in the Lower Mainland, on Vancouver Island, and across Northern BC. The Infant Development Supervisor is a member of the Infant Development Services team, providing integrated, multidisciplinary, family centered developmental services and supports to the children and families within the Surrey/White Rock service delivery area.
The Infant Development Program (IDP) provides services to families with children, birth to three years of age, who have an identified diagnosis, are delayed in one or more areas of development, or who are at risk for delay. Intervention is guided by a family centered philosophy and includes assessment, treatment planning and implementation of established goals, providing resource information, and referral to, and coordination with, additional services. The program supports families by providing primarily home visiting and outreach services. The program also allows for the provision of other services such as groups and educational programs. Additionally, IDP collaborates with and builds on the community’s existing programs and services.
The IDP Supervisor provides supervision, support, and guidance to the infant development consultants as well as the administrative members of the team. Strives to build and maintain collaborative, community connections.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and promotes a family centered model of practice.
a) Holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, child and youth care, or another related discipline, and at least three years experience in child development.
c) A strong desire to continue to learn and advance developmental, assessment and service delivery skills, and support these skills within the consultant team.
d) A strong understanding of child development services offered within the community, and the service delivery models being utilized.
e) Supports a collaborative, family centered approach, and promotes these within the IDP team.
f) Fosters a multidisciplinary approach that promotes collaboration with other community partners.
j) First Aid and CPR training must be current and equivalent to WCB Level One (training is provided).
Must possess a valid BC driver’s license.
