About the RoleSago Mini is seeking an experienced Digital Production Manager to empower our team to deliver the best possible digital products for kids This is a process focused role responsible for facilitating and clarifying team initiatives and goals. Oversee game development projects through their life cycle, and right into excited kids’ hands This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to attend our downtown, Toronto studio at least once a week. You’ll thrive in this role if you…Are a detail-oriented and organized individual with extensive experience in project management and a background in game development processesEnjoy mobilizing and supporting teams to do their best workAre solutions oriented and have the ability to carry out high-level technical discussionsYour colleagues appreciate your collaborative efforts, empathy, and excellent communication skills along with your ability to foster an open, helpful, and welcoming environmentLove taking experiences from good to great while delivering on time What You’ll Be DoingRegularly meet with your team to allocate tasks and discuss progress and/or setbacksFacilitate the team’s work using agile techniquesOwn the prioritization of deliverables, address concerns along the way, and review progressHelp ensure the on-time delivery of the product - meeting the release scheduleCollaborate across disciplines to deliver on the product’s promiseCommunicate milestones, present updates, and gather feedbackTrack, monitor, and analyze the production schedule; rescope & adjust strategies when neededBe your team’s #1 cheerleader Find ways to support, recognize and celebrate their successesCreate, prioritize, and maintain production backlogsLead bug management for team deliverablesSupport the yearly product roadmap development process Qualification and SkillsExpertise in project managementPractical experience with agile methodologiesDemonstrated experience leading multiple cross-functional teams with 10+ membersFluency in software development, design, and UXUnderstanding of how games are madeAbility to deconstruct a project into high level tasksExcellent communication and facilitation skills5+ years of relevant work experienceAn openness to learn the basics of the technical tools we use like Unity and Illustrator Nice to HavesKnowledge of design and UXMobile game and app experienceA creative flair or backgroundExperience making content for kidsAbout the ProcessYou’ll get an email response confirming we’ve received your application, and we’ll let you know within a few days if we’d like to schedule a follow-up.If you’re moving ahead, we’ll book a call to learn more about your experience in a first round interview.If that goes well, you’ll move to a second interview with the hiring team that will entail a Q&A portion as well as a live exercise you’ll work through.
