Are you ready to bring your solid administrative, critical thinking and organizational skills to our rapidly growing, remote-first tech company? In this role, you'll work with not only the HR and Admin team, but also directly with the dynamic executive team to ensure the smooth running of Absorbs’ administrative function. You’ll also bring your drive and desire for an opportunity to work with a team that is deeply committed to the organization, it’s people, and each other.

What you’ll do:

Note: The is a Calgary based, primarily remote role with some days in office as required. Working hours will support the Eastern Time Zone (EST)

  • Event management and planning for corporate functions and Board meetings. Assist with coordinating events, meetings, webcasts, conference calls, including arranging for catering, booking locations, and supporting event logistics
  • Provide dedicated administrative support to the CEO and other members of the Executive Team while ensuring professionalism, discretion and a high quality of service
  • Travel arrangements including airline and hotel reservations
  • Prepare and maintain expense reports as needed
  • Project management for various programs including employee recognition, focus groups, Town Hall meetings, planning sessions

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong, proven ability to take initiative and demonstrate autonomy on projects and tasks
  • Previous, and ideally current experience working fully remote (not on-site)
  • 3-5+ years experience supporting executive leadership with an office administration background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask and ensure deadlines are met. Ability to work autonomously, but also work effectively with team when additional supports are needed or areas of challenge are identified
  • Ability to work in a remote environment for a geographically diverse organization

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in office administration or a related field
  • Hands-on knowledge working in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
