NATIONAL OCCUPATION CODE 21230POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME Under the direction of the Section Lead or senior System Developer, you will participate in the analysis, program design, program coding, program implementation, documentation, and other systems analysis or programming tasks for the various SAP applications.
Responsibilities:
Consult with business partners, business systems analysts, and other system developers for the analysis, design, estimates, development, testing, and implementation of new or modernized applications.
Code, test, debug, install, and document programming objects of moderately complex nature.
Troubleshoot application problems and make changes as required.
Optimize the performance and usability of SAP programs thereby decreasing the cost of the application.
Participate in the execution of SAP development projects (working level programming and system analysis).
Follow and recommend refinement of SAP development standards and procedures.
Participate in the upkeep of development documentation, including definition of client requirements, preparation of estimates, and specifications.
Keep abreast of industry products and technological developments including SAP development languages, SAP development and automation tools, application software, and database techniques.
Some standby may be required during implementation of major enhancements or revisions.
Qualifications:
~ A four-year degree in Computer Science from a university of recognized standing with two years of programming and systems analysis experience.

OR
A two-year diploma in Computer Programming Technology from an institute of recognized standing and four years of programming and systems analysis experience.
Ability to interpret business problems or processes with the project originators and develop appropriate solutions in close liaison with business partners, business analysts, and senior developers.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels.
Ability to research software development tools and techniques and make appropriate recommendations.
Knowledge of core SAP development environment and tools is required. This includes ABAP, ABAP Objects, ABAP Webdynpro, Adobe Interactive forms, SAP Enterprise Services, and Workflow.
Working knowledge of a System Development Lifecycle Methodology (such as waterfall, Agile, object oriented) and its supporting tools.
Ability to accurately estimate, develop, test, and deploy development tasks.
Ability to make sound decisions and take prompt action relating to problem and enhancement resolution in applications.
Competent in computer languages, relational databases, operating systems, and tools required to support and deliver
Knowledge of java script, Personas, Fiori custom development, or SAP S/4 development tools (e.g., Eclipse) is an asset.
