Accounting clerk

The new AccountsPayableTechnician will take charge of the entire accounts payable process. He or she will ensure the integrity of accounting verifications and account statement follow-ups while resolving matching differences in collaboration with the procurement team. He or she will ensure that suppliers are paid on time and appropriately. He or she will use their resourcefulness to analyze and resolve problems in the accounts payable system. The AccountsPayableTechnician will supervise the appropriate process and make the necessary adjustments, from receipt to invoice payment, while collaborating with the work teams to ensure the system’s proper functioning.
How You Will Make a Difference
- By monitoring and analyzing accounts payable;
- By identifying and solving accounts payable matching problems;
- By taking charge of the process, along with all communications with the various stakeholders in the accounts payable cycle;
- By taking part in the supplier creation and monitoring process;
- By taking part in month-end procedures linked to the accounts payable cycle;
- By reconciling account statements and supplier auxiliaries;
- By monitoring and maintaining supplier files;
- By contacting the invoice entry team on a weekly basis and by measuring the progress of improvement projects;
- By taking part in weekly meetings with the production and supply team to ensure the continuity of operations;
- By supporting the controller in all other related tasks;
- By taking part in ad hoc committees when required.
What You Will Bring to the Company
- Accounting technician or equivalent;
- Three to fiveyears of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience in managing large quantities of data and creating reports;
- The ability to demonstrate and apply a solid grasp of the accounting process on a day-to-day basis;
- Knowledge ofSAP an asset;
- Advanced English skills a significant asset (spoken and written);
- Advanced skills in MicrosoftExcel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and autonomy;
- Initiative, an openness to new ideas, and a positive attitude to change;
- Organization and the ability to work in a team.
