Human Capital Coordinator

To fulfill Pattison Agricultures’ vision of GROWING, CONNECTING AND EVOLVING we are looking for a Human Capital Coordinator who will report to the Human Capital Manager and will be based out of any of our locations.
Responsibilities
This individual’s responsibilities include:
- Assisting with day to day operations of the HC department functions and duties
- Working with and supporting recruiting activities (including creation of job postings, screening interviews, reference checks, liaise with position supervisor/managers, etc.)
- Supporting department managers in administration and scheduling of regularly occurring HC processes
- Facilitating new hire orientation and on-boarding requirements
- Assisting staff to interpret and implement HC/Organizational policies and procedures
- Attending and actively contributing in HC organizational meetings and committees
- General HC administration such as filing, data entry, document preparation and distribution, legislative research, etc.
- Other HC administrative tasks
- Works collaboratively as a full partner within the Human Capital department
- Maintains a clean work area and performing work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Ensures all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others
- Works to build and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamics
- Participates in training programs as required for the development of skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a Human Resources or related field (business, commerce, HR, etc.) A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and relevant legislation is beneficial
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers and/or other employees
Candidate must have:
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in working with others, in a team environment
- Candidate must be professional and be able to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Administrative expertise and knowledge of office procedures
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications
- V alid driver’s license required
