Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Design Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the design activities of cladding projects, ensuring seamless collaboration between design, engineering, and project management teams. Your expertise will ensure that all project requirements are met, integrating our advanced building envelope solutions into each phase of the design process. You will play a pivotal role in aligning project goals, ensuring smooth communication, and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Oversight & Review:
    Oversee and review detailed design drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications, ensuring that all designs meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaison Role:
    Act as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design Coordination:
    Coordinate design processes from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, design standards, and client expectations.
  • Team Support & Mentorship:
    Provide mentorship and guidance to the design team on technical aspects, fostering skill development and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • On-Site Technical Support:
    Offer on-site technical support as needed, addressing challenges, implementing design changes, and ensuring smooth integration of design solutions on-site.
  • Collaboration with Production:
    Work closely with the production team to align design specifications with manufacturing capabilities and ensure a seamless transition from design to fabrication.
  • Project Meetings & Updates:
    Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project goals.
  • Industry Awareness:
    Stay informed on industry trends, sustainable design practices, and innovative materials to continuously improve design processes and maintain competitiveness.
  • Record Maintenance:
    Maintain meticulous records of design documentation, approvals, and revisions, ensuring accessibility and reference throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement:
    Support the development of automated design workflows to enhance team efficiency and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the design team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design coordination or building envelope design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable building practices, cladding systems, and prefabricated panels.
  • Exceptional project management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with national building codes and industry standards.

Skills Required:

  • Technical expertise in cladding systems, BIPV products, and building envelope solutions.
  • Ability to review design drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong liaison skills between clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Experience mentoring design teams on technical matters.
  • Ability to provide on-site technical support and implement design changes.
  • Knowledge of automated design workflows and process improvement.
