THE OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist to join the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA). In this role, you will support a dedicated team of leaders who are committed to ABSA's vision and its impact on Alberta's industrial landscape.

ABSA's HR department is focused on delivering high-quality programs, fostering a positive work environment, and building long-term employment relationships. As the organization embarks on a digital transformation, this position will play a pivotal role in modernizing HR programs, leading recruitment initiatives, and enhancing the employee experience through multiple channels. As a key regulatory body in the province, ABSA plays a critical role in protecting public safety by enforcing the Alberta Safety Codes Act and its associated regulations. ABSA, as a regulatory authority in Alberta, works with our stakeholders to ensure that pressure equipment is designed, constructed, installed, operated, maintained and decommissioned in a manner that protects public safety.

Ensuring compliance with internal HR policies and procedures.
Planning and conducting new employee onboarding, training, and orientations.
Planning and coordinating recruitment activities such as job postings, applicant screening, and scheduling interviews.
Assisting with HR improvement projects and policy/procedure revisions.
Providing support to payroll and benefits administration.
Post secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field of study.
A minimum of 2 years prior Human Resources administration experience.
Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar Human Resources Information Systems.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
