Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop human resources policies and procedures;

- Manage employee relations and maintain confidential staff records;

- Create and maintain company policy manuals while ensuring consistency of practices;

- Remains up to date on trends and human resource issues;

- Provides advice and guidance to management on human resource issues;

- Evaluate and administer benefit programs;

- Oversee the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding;

- Coordinate vendor relationships and negotiate contracts;

- Facilitate company change initiatives;

- Ensure compliance with Ontario Employment Standards Acts, rules and regulations, other application legislation;

- Develop, manage, and maintain Occupational Health & Safety programs and Emergency Response Plans;

- Organise and coordinate special events;

- Perform year end payroll reconciliations; and

- Additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a law firm;

- Strong technical abilities and proficiency with MS Office;

- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities; and

- Excellent communication skills.
