We have the privilege to support this well-branded and respected Canadian Consumer Goods firm to identify its next Brand Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Brand Marketing Manager will be a key player within the Marketing team to create the strategy, develop plans, produce, execute, and measure best-in-class North American marketing programs for B2B and B2C audiences.

The Brand Marketing Manager will help develop & execute a winning Marketing strategy, commercialization plans and programs to drive brand awareness, brand equity, market share and sales growth across a variety of channels. The Brand Marketing Manager will collaborate across multi-functional stakeholder groups to develop and align the organization to the Brand Marketing plans while remaining flexible to capitalize on emerging opportunities. He/she will develop/refine the Marketing process to ensure efficient use of resources & enable speed to market.

What you should expect:

  • Responsible for designing, producing, and distributing a wide variety of B2B/B2C marketing collateral, customer-specific advertising, channel/customer programs, price books, website content, point of sale, development of merchandising solutions, Coop Marketing program, trade show Marketing etc.
  • Be the voice of Brand Marketing in meetings that review R&D/Product Marketing pipeline projects, provide Brand Marketing commercial plan input and alignment to launch timelines
  • Ensure excellence in the execution of programs & adherence to critical trade milestones for communication and new product launch/season readiness launch windows
  • Develop strong external vendor/supplier relationships to ensure best-in-class creative & execution
  • Be a strong brand guardian both internally across the organization and externally, ensuring adherence to brand standards

What you should bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in brand management, marketing and developing branded B2B and B2C programs that drove business results
  • Proven understanding of brand marketing fundamentals
  • Strategic big picture and tactical thinker
  • Personable, able to adjust the personal style to work well with a variety of different personality types & skill sets
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and display flexibility within a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven strategic, annual brand planning & budgeting experience
  • High level of accuracy & attention to detail
  • High collaboration orientation & ability to lead cross-functional teams & motivate others
  • Curious. Externally focused on consumer & customer needs, while also internally focused on developing talent & strong relationships
  • Advanced communication skills & the ability to engage & influence key stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to make sound business decisions rooted in consumer/customer insight, strong strategic, analytical, creative thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple complex projects simultaneously with strong project management experience and the ability to coach it
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Undergraduate degree or comparable post-secondary education in Marketing or Business with a focus on Marketing
  • MBA an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Brand Marketing experience
  • Consumer Packaged goods, Durable Goods or Hard Goods experience preferred
  • Sales experience would be an asset
