New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Intermediate Firewall Administrator to help our client support a variety of infrastructure and security projects within a growing security portfolio. The IT Firewall Administrator will work closely with the Director, Portfolio/Program Managers, Project Managers, Project/Program Coordinators, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders to effectively deliver business results by championing a culture of accountability and consistent application of project management practices. Responsibilities: Implement / change firewall, proxy IDS/IPS rulesWork with customers / vendors to troubleshoot project related firewall, proxy and IDS/IPS issuesUpdate project / operational documentation and progress production change requests as required for firewall and zoning related activitiesRequirements:4 + years of recent experience implementing / supporting firewall rules, Active Directory, and DNS in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centersStrong understanding of logical network and firewalling principlesStrong operational knowledge of Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Microsoft ISA/TMGExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-directed, highly motivated, and results-orientedGood communication, customer interaction, and organizational skillsAbility to work on multiple concurrent projects and multi-taskTeam player with well-developed interpersonal skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsProficient computer skills using Microsoft OfficeCCNA or equivalent certification is preferredIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
