The Senior Business Analyst, Business Process provides business analysis expertise to various user groups throughout the organization. This includes participating in the execution of capital projects and corporate initiatives through the collection and documentation of information related to current process, requirements gathering and validation, Request for Proposals development and evaluation, identification of risk and process improvement. The Senior Analyst, Business Process ensures internal processes and systems comply with corporate policies, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
Union – This position is permanent full time.
Business Process Analysis
Perform requirements coordination on major projects from identifying the root cause of business problems, identifying sources of requirements (stakeholder and artefacts), eliciting requirements that encapsulate business needs, and building RFP (Requests for Proposal) based on those requirements.
Work with business stakeholders to document existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, define future state processes based on improvements identified, and work with business stakeholders to implement future-state processes.
Workshops may include representatives from diverse business units with varying levels of business and technical expertise.
Perform risk analysis on current and future business processes, applications, and projects and make recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
Analyze business processes and applications to identify and recommend innovative solutions for optimizing processes and system utilization.
Enable organizational transformation through root cause analysis of business problems, requirements elicitation, and solution recommendation.
Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance
Elicit and manage requirements and risks on major projects related to enterprise information management, privacy impact for corporate and customer data, digital security and regulatory compliance.
Engage in regular peer review with team members to ensure quality of work and adherence to department standards as well as industry best practice.
Mentor, coach and guide junior analysts in the performance of their daily and on-demand work activities.
Coach and guide project team members through their participation in activities including process analysis, requirements elicitation, testing, and defect management.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including business users and IT teams.
Establish and maintain vendor relationships, including analyzing vendor results, and working with senior leadership on vendor performance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration.
Five (5) years' work experience in an IT environment as a business analyst or representative, developer, technical resource, project manager or analyst, including experience in business process documentation and analysis, and lifecycle management.
Ability to provide feedback, guidance, and on-the-job training.
Strong verbal communication skills tailored to the technical expertise of the audience.

Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
